Minors do not have the authority to sign the Audkenni app contract. Therefore a custodian must sign on their behalf. There are two ways available.

1. The custodian and the minor visit a registration station and present valid Identity documents (passport, driving license or Identity card issued by the National Registrar of Iceland).
2. The custodian uses his Mobile certificates from Audkenni to log into our website mitt.audkenni.is. There the custodian can sign the contract on the minor's behalf. The minor then visits a registration station and presents valid identity documents (passport, driving license or Identity card issued by the National Registrar of Iceland).

The app can be downloaded from the Google Playstore or Apple Appstore.

The app has no age restrictions.
To register an account, a minor needs an approval from a legal guardian,

If a guardian intends to sign an agreement for a minor on mitt.audkenni.is, a message may appear once the ID number (kennitala) is put in that says "The guardian is not registered in the same family in the national register" (isl. "Forráðamaður er ekki skráður í þjóðskrá í sömu fjölskyldu og umsækjandi"). If the guardian does not have the same family number as the minor, this message will appear.

The guardian must then go to a service point with the minor and proof his custody by logging on to island.is and selecting "User Info". There you can see which children you have custody over.
